Code of Conduct

How a rtCamper communicates with other individuals not only reflects on them as an individual but also on rtCamp

Here’s the guideline: https://handbook.rtcamp.com/about-rtcamp/general-communication-guidelines/

At rtCamp, our training program is designed to foster a collaborative, respectful, and growth-oriented environment. To ensure a positive and productive experience for everyone, we expect all participants to adhere to the following Code of Conduct:

1. Professionalism and Respect:

Whether you’re interacting with trainers, fellow participants, or team members approach each conversation with professionalism, kindness and respect. This extends to all forms of communication, be it verbal or written. Be responsible, punctual and thoughtful in your approach to tasks and updates.

2. Managing Time Effectively:

Managing your time effectively will not just help you meet deadlines – it prepares you for client work. Planning and prioritizing your tasks, and estimating the time for each task will not only help meet deadlines but also help manage your workload efficiently. These skills will directly benefit you when working on client projects, where expectations for timely delivery are crucial.

3. Ownership of Learning:

Own your progress by fully engaging in the training program and taking initiative of your learning. This includes actively participating on our GH Discussions platform, exploring concepts in depth, completing tasks on time, attending requisite sessions and displaying a curiosity to learn. Your commitment is key to personal and team success!

4. Use of Technology:

[can use AI but you need to be prepared for cross questions]

  • Technology is our bread and butter which makes it even more important for us to use it responsibly. While we don’t discourage the use of AI to aid learning, developers need to be prepared to be cross-questioned in their assessments to ensure a logical and original approach.
  • rtCamp operates remotely hence it’s imperative that you set up your remote workspace. You can refer to our Remote Working Toolkit to get started.
  • Ensure that you have a stable reliable internet connection that will support your development work. And don’t forget to have backups!

5. Integrity & Honesty:

We expect participants to showcase authentic and original work at all times. Peer code copying, plagiarism, cheating, or misrepresentation of completed work will lead to non-compliance and disciplinary actions.

6. Adherence to development guidelines:

Before starting any task, it is essential to follow rtCamp’s training development guidelines. We pride ourselves on high-quality coding and documentation standards, including best practices, version control protocols, and GitHub workflows. Ensure you read and review the guidelines before beginning development, and always aim to produce clean and efficient code that meets the expectations.

7. Embrace Feedback:

Stay open to feedback and embrace a growth mindset. Training is an opportunity for learning, seeking guidance, and improvement. Accept constructive criticism as a chance to grow and better yourself.

8. Health and Well-being:

While training can be intensive, it’s important to maintain a balance between work and well-being. Don’t hesitate to seek help from the training team if you feel overwhelmed, and support others in doing the same. We encourage you to take adequate breaks and time off whenever possible. Reach out to the team for any help or support you need.

9. Appropriate Use of Resources:

Use company-provided resources, including assets, tools, systems, and information, responsibly and for their intended purpose during training.

10. Confidentiality and Privacy:

Respect the privacy and confidentiality of all information, particularly proprietary content, training projects, or any material discussed during training. Ensure that sensitive data is handled appropriately and is not shared publicly.

Note: Failure to adhere to training policies, guidelines or code of conduct will result in non-compliance.
